Stabilisers are basic components that, in combination with lubricants, produce extremely efficient stabilisation systems for the processing of PVC.
Stabilisers provide the final product with:
- first-class thermal stability.
- first-class stability to light.
- first-class electrical features.
They are used, above all, on pipes, fittings, building sections, window frames, panels, floor coverings, cables,...

Stabilisers are exclusively applied to long-term products, therefore, in domestic waste there are only small amounts of PVC residues.
The compounds used for the processing of PVC are not easily soluble, they are solidly anchored to the PVC matrix, and do not easily become volatile.
Laboratory investigations have proven that the stabilisers in PVC particles that are found in rubble hardly escape and, therefore, that they do not contaminate water by filtration. |
