1 - PVC is a 100 % recyclable material . Recycled PVC is used to manufacture co-extrusioned pipes, electric pipes, wire sheathing, gutters and waste water pipes, couplings, tiles... 2 - Paper, plastics, and cardboard that is collected separately, is used for obtaining plastic derived fuel (PDF) or is recycled by means of grinding it.
3 - Domestic waste is classified and used to produce residue derived fuel (RDF). 4 - In the thermal plant, industrial burner, or RSU incinerator, the RSUs, RDFs or PDFs are burned, either alone or in combination with fossil fuels to generate energy. 5 - Hot water for the heating of homes, schools, and local industry. 6 - Steam for industries. 7 - Electricity for the national network. 8 - Plastic bottles, etc. are recycled. PVC is identified and separated. Once it has been separated, it is ground into flakes, washed, and the existing impurities (caps, labels, glue…) are eliminated. Finally, the flakes are reduced to a fine powder, ready to be used again. |
